The Fire Safe Council fulfils its mission to preserve California's natural and manmade resources by mobilizing all Californians to make their homes, neighbourhoods and communities fire safe.

The FIREWISE website contains educational information for people who live or vacation in fire-prone areas of the United States. It was designed to acquaint the general public with the challenges of living with wildland fire.

Integrated Resource Solutions utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to provide analytical support for public involvement and decision-making in natural resource agencies and the private sector (e.g., “Public Input for Fire and Fuels Management in the Southwest” and “Homeowners' Wildfire Risk Perceptions, Attitudes and Risk Reduction Behaviors in the Wildland-Urban Interface”):
