Burnt Biomass and Satellite Observations (BBSO) Workshop
How
to access global and regional burnt biomass from satellite observations
to
derive gases and particle emission inventories?
14-15 December 2005, Toulouse, France
The workshop is organized by the ACCENT European network, together with the GEIA (Global Emissions Inventory Activity of IGBP) with supports from the Global Vegetation Monitoring Unit - Institute for Environment and Sustainability - Joint Research Centre.
The title of the workshop is “How to access global and regional burnt biomass from satellite observations to derive gases and particle emission inventories?”
In the determination of emission inventories for savannas, forests and agricultural fires, two different spatial products are currently used: the distribution of fire pixels and the distribution of burnt areas. The main purpose of the workshop is to bring together specialists of fire products and user groups of these products to find a coherence between the different estimations.
The full agenda will be available very soon.
