and Subregional Cooperation Strategies
for the Prevention, Control and
Combat of Wildland Fires

Within the framework of the 24th Session of the Latin American and Caribbean Forestry Commission (LACFC) in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 26 to 30 June 2006, a Pre-session Workshop on “Regional and Subregional strategies of cooperation for the prevention, control and combat of wildland fires” will be held on Sunday, 25 June, formulated with the support of Project TCP/RLA/3010.
The objective of the Workshop will be to present and validate the Fire Management Regional Cooperation Strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Central America, Caribbean and South America subregional strategies, recommending its adoption by the 24th Session of the LACFC. It will be the opportunity for the official presentation of the TCP project results.
Workshop Languages:
The working languages of the Commission meeting will be Spanish, English and
also French if a French-speaking Member Nation participates. Simultaneous
interpretation and documents will be provided in these languages accordingly.
